White Christmas
There is a vague chance I'll be spending Christmas day on my own. The plan was to drive to Dad's on 23rd, stay overnight and then drive to Mum's on 24th. Stay there for a bit and then drive back to the London area on 28th.
Since Dad's and Mum's are far away places, the snow things have meant that this plan of action has now become implausible.
I think the likely outcome of events is that I go to my sister's and spend Christmas with her. That is if the doors of the trains don't freeze shut* - otherwise I might end up spending Christmas day in a train carriage.
Who knows what will happen?
I think the weather is very silly.
* it's OK - there is a man with some anti-freeze and a mallet

It's strange that you seem comforted by this. If I was locked in a carriage with a man carrying a mallet and some anti-freeze I would be very, very scared.
He's not in the carriage - he's on the platform of a station so it's quite safe!
...as long as you don't get out at that stop!
