This Week

There are a few things that have crossed my mind recently that I would like to share with you in one post:

1) E-mails will really come into their own when you can send cake as an attachment.
2) According to two random men in Chelmsford, one of which may have been drinking alcohol, this year I have nice/good legs.
3) I have learnt how to push my alarm clock's snooze button in my sleep.

Cake as an attachment! you are a genius! you're absolutely right, it would revolutionise communication.

I see your "push the snooze button in my sleep" and raise you a "deactivate the alarm entirely in my sleep." As in, I don't just hit the snooze button, I completely switch it off and carry on blissfully slumbering. It's been a bad week for arriving late at work.

Yes, that way, when I'm at work and I get an e-mail from a friend saying he's having some strawberry jam sponge, I can ask if he'd be so kind as to send some.

I started off with "push the snooze button" when I'm half asleep so maybe I'm heading for "deactivate the alarm entirely in my sleep" as the next stage.

I'll fax you a piece.

What you need is a small knob, like the one I've got. You have to actually push it across to switch the alarm off/on. They probably don't make them like this anymore though.

Thank you. I look forward a piece.

I do have a slider thing to switch the alarm on and off but the snooze is just something you reach out to in your sleep and push.

So is mine, in fact. I think if you accidentally press the snooze it just sets the radio off. I never could see the point in the snooze function though. It's asking for trouble - "Oh I'll just go back to sleep for another five mintues..." then half an hour (or more) later...

I also keep it out of reach, so that I have to get out of bed to turn it off.
